With over 11 years of presence in the industry, Spanomarkou Sisters are award-winning composers, lyricists, producers, editors and directors of short and feature films, documentaries, and music videos. Films in which Spanomarkou sisters are credited in the soundtrack, are available on Netflix and Amazon Prime. They are voting members of Grammy Awards and World Soundtrack awards and members of Recording Academy (New York chapter) and Alliance for Women Film Composers. Spanomarkou sisters are renown in Greece and Greeks around the world (US, Europe and Australia). Their music is aired in radio, and they are regularly mentioned in the national and international media, with full page interviews monthly in the press, appearances in TV shows and newscasts twice a year, and featured in prestigious magazines such as Billboard, Marie Claire, Madame Figaro, Gala, etc.

Areti and Ioanna Spanomarkou have degrees in Economics (Marketing, Accounting and International Trading), and they have presented papers and studies in academic conferences.
